You know very well that there are still people who discriminate transgender individuals. However, you should not let it affect you or let it hinder you in achieving your goals. Being a
transgender woman does not change the fact that you have dreams you need to work on. You have to do well at work and prove everyone that being a transgender does not make you any less.
How do you excel at work?
First, make sure you are truly qualified for the job. Your skills should match the requirements of the position. It’s a good idea to assume that the whole company knows you are a
transgender so there’s no need to tell that to each and everyone. If someone asks you about it, answer politely but try not to give any further details. Just say that it is something you’re not willing to talk about while at work. After all, what’s important is your performance. So, it’s a must to come to work on time and finish your tasks accordingly. You can do better than what is expected of you so make sure everyone, especially your bosses know about it. Most importantly, keep yourself protected by ensuring you know the rules set by the company
